Atlanta was the next stop on our tour. It was a long drive (6 hours) from Mobile, plus we lost an hour moving from the Central to Eastern time zone. So we didn’t have a lot of time to get set up and rehearse (and we needed to rehearse a few pieces). But we were up and running in less than 30 minutes, and we plenty of time to work out some bugs in inChuck and [hello_world], and go have a great dinner at Ted’s.
The performance went really well, especially Quartet for Colors, [hello_world] and inChuck. We had students from Georgia State and from Georgia Tech (where I’ll be giving a talk on Friday). Thanks to my good friend, Robert Scott Thompson, who hosted us in Atlanta. I always enjoy our time together.
Today, we’re on the road to Columbus GA to perform at the Schwob School of Music. Here’s some pictures from last night.
