Jeffrey Rhodes visited our ensemble for a rehearsal and performance at Highland Coffee last week. The performance served as a chill out experience after the intensity of our performance at the Shaw Center a few days before. Jeffrey made up a nice little feature about the ensemble. Very cool.
A great review from Patrick McCurry of the LoL performance in Columbus Georgia January 27th.
“The performance displayed every facet of good chamber music. There was expressiveness, interaction, intimacy and balance.”
“It was a reset button, and left me wanting more of everything–more gadgets, more “crazy” (their word) music and more of what was just an impressive display of talent.”
Here’s a great review post of our concert at Columbus State University (Columbus, GA) on January 27, 2011. Clearly, he’s someone who understands what we’re trying to do with the LOLs.

Here’s a great article from today’s “The Advocate,” our local paper, on last night’s LOL concert at the Manship Theatre. It’s probably the best press coverage we’ve had. Check out the picture gallery. There are some great images.

Alex Cook, music reviewer and all around good guy, posted some kind thoughts about the Laptop Orchestra of Louisiana on his blog “The Record Crate” on 225batonrouge.com. What I didn’t know is that he heard me many (many) years ago on a Festival of Contemporary Music concert when I performed Davidovsky’s Synchronisms No. 6 for piano and tape. Enjoy the review.
